The council voted unanimously on Jan. 22, 2025 to authorize staff to submit a grant application to the County of San Diego under the Community Enhancement Program for FY 2024-25, committing to provide matching funds and approving a proposed partnership between the City of Santee and the County of San Diego to enhance arts and culture programs.
Vice Mayor Rob McNelis moved to approve staff recommendation; Councilmember Dustin Trotter seconded the motion. The motion carried 5-0. The resolution (Reso 005-2025) was approved and will allow staff to finalize the application and match commitments as required by the County program.
