The Clinton County Board on June 30 approved awarding the 2026 Sheriff’s Office vehicle decommissioning and upfitting services contract to Overwatch Emergency in the amount not to exceed $44,096.55, after the Ways and Means Committee determined that Overwatch was the only proposal meeting all RFP specifications. Undersheriff Mike Gute reviewed certification and equipment requirements, noting the RFP required Motorola and Whelen installer certification and specified Whelen equipment for fleet compatibility.
On donated funds, the board approved using $7,000 from the Dive Team Donation Fund for 2026 training, certifications and supplemental equipment; a separate motion to authorize up to $10,000 for Watertown Township satellite office renovations was tabled pending additional information and vendor proposals.
