The selectboard discussed an RFP to repair damage sustained earlier this year at the highway garage after a truck struck the building. The Chair said the town has been reimbursed from "Bridal" for estimated costs and that a formal RFP is being prepared so work can proceed.
A board member asked whether the roof replacement and ConX-style box work were included; the chair said the roof and the ConX box are separate items and that staff will compile a materials list before contracting. "We have been reimbursed from Bridal on that," the Chair said when explaining the financial status of the repair work.
The board also discussed paving-RFP funds that may cover driveway aprons and related fixes. Staff and board members agreed to continue preparing specifications and to seek vendor bids so repairs can be scheduled as weather and contractor availability allow.
