County commissioners direct demolition of old Erickson house; relocation judged impractical

President Brock Porch asked the commissioners for direction on the old Erickson house during the April 21 meeting. After discussion, the commissioners expressed a desire to have the house demolished and allocated funds for that purpose.
Commissioner McCreery raised relocation as a possible alternative, but Ms. Besel said the house had been assembled from a double-wide and various other housing sections, which would make relocation challenging. With that clarification, the commission moved forward with funding demolition.
