EDA readies Heritage Days and concert series; schedules safety meeting and banners

The Mayor and staff reported that Heritage Days planning is progressing and that concert series dates and festival events were being finalized. The group confirmed a schedule of performances across August, September and October and discussed banner placement and volunteer and agency participation for safety planning.
"I think Heritage Days has planning is going incredible from what I hear," the Mayor said in the meeting's opening remarks. The EDA decided to convene a safety meeting with one representative from each supporting agency (sheriff's office, EMS, amateur radio and others) and to distribute event flyers and banners around town; staff will send a doodle poll to set the meeting time and circulate tasks for staffing, security and signage.
Members also confirmed event fees (e.g., beanbag and kickball registration) and logistics for fundraising events linked to the festival.
