Planners outline two-year Blueprint Boulevard study to guide Littleton Boulevard investments

City senior planner Doreen Tasneem introduced Blueprint Boulevard — the Wilton Boulevard subarea planning project — as a two‑year effort meant to produce zoning reforms and an implementation plan to guide future investment decisions. "What is Blueprint Boulevard? It's a long term vision, goals, recommendation that will lead into unified land use code updates," Tasneem said, framing the project pillars as economic development and housing preservation, transportation and mobility, and streetscapes and green infrastructure.
The project team has completed an existing‑conditions analysis and is in the early visioning phase; staff said the next steps include an urban design charrette next week, a third public survey on preliminary concepts, targeted stakeholder listening sessions in September and a milestone presentation to commission(s) and city council in October. Tasneem told the board the study will prioritize walkability and safety for pedestrians and bicyclists and will fold recommendations into future capital and code work. Staff requested board slides and a recommendation memo by Aug. 14 so materials can be compiled for council submission.
