City to add four courts at Pickleball Plaza; concrete to be poured this fall

Parks staff told the advisory board the city has signed contracts to expand Pickleball Plaza by four courts east of the existing courts, completing an eight‑court vision in the park. "Contracts were signed, literally end of last week," the staff member said, and staff expects concrete to be poured this fall so the new surface can cure through winter.
Staff said the new set of courts will be wider than the existing courts — about 70 feet wide — to support a championship layout, and that coatings, nets and fencing will be installed next spring when contractors are available. The project is within the established budget, staff said.
