County Administrator Lee Engfer told the Finance Committee that replacing a water heater in a county building is estimated at about $11,000 and that a storm sewer pit near the sallyport needs immediate repair with an estimate of $5,000 — lower than initial bids around $15,000. Engfer also said two independent contractors have been consulted regarding the Veteran’s Wall, and that no prior contracts for the work could be located in county records.
Engfer reported auditors are requesting that all accounts be run through 'Tyler Tech' with additional in-house audits, and staff reviewed grant-tracking approaches and petty cash approvals. At the end of the segment the committee approved moving 2025 non-lapsing balances to 2026.
