PHMC grant funds firehouses MPDF; contract with EDR headed to council

Commission staff told the Historic Review Commission that the city received a PHMC grant to prepare a Multiple Property Documentation Form (MPDF) for the city’s firehouses and that the procurement to hire consultant EDR — the firm that completed the recent architectural survey — will be considered by city council.
"So this was a grant that we were awarded by PHMC to create a multiple property documentation form for our firehouses," Matthew Falcone said, adding the EDR contract will go to council in the coming week. The MPDF will document the historic significance and context of multiple firehouse properties as a bundled project.
Council consideration of the contract is intended to allow staff to expend grant funds and issue an RFP/hire the consultant to complete the documentation.
