Vernon County advances Springer Bridge replacement; road foreman outlines maintenance plans

The Vernon County Commission heard an update from Road and Bridge Foreman Mike Reasoner on the county’s ongoing projects, including work on BRO R10845 (Springer Bridge) on Trapper Road. Reasoner said the Henry Township bridge replacement "is moving along again after being delayed by rain," and the county is coordinating Local Public Agency (LPA) duties for the project.
Reasoner also reported staffing and maintenance items: new hires are being processed, mowing is scheduled soon in Lake Township, and rodeo arena bleachers will be straightened as part of arena repairs scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 18. Staff reviewed a vendor quote for an Alphetta 6.5 boom during the update. No formal action was taken; the commission received the report and will follow up as needed on scheduling and procurement.
