During Old Business the board discussed new information about the Castor Falls Conservation Area project. Minutes state the board "will never own the property, and the public will not be allowed on it." The conservation easement agreement has been signed, the stewardship agreement has not, and President Roy Schwickerath signed and filed the deed. The board asked staff to obtain additional information on the changed terms before pursuing further action.
Board members also discussed fees associated with the project and noted the county board of supervisors requested changes to the proposed rules and regulations before moving to set a date for the first reading. No stewardship agreement was finalized at this meeting; the matter remains under review.
