The Floyd County Conservation Board convened May 5, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. President Roy Schwickerath called the meeting to order and the board approved the April meeting minutes, the March claims and the meeting agenda — each motion passing 4-0.
Director Tyron Steere delivered the staff report, which included hires, summer intern starts and a REAP CEP grant for a six‑seater golf cart to be used on program tours. Bids for siding and concrete work at the Director’s Lodge were accepted and the board was told a budget amendment will be made in May to account for recent equipment and program funding changes. The board set its next meeting for June 2, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. at the Fossil and Prairie Center and adjourned at 5:32 p.m.
