At the Dec. 10 meeting Special Education Coordinator Brandy Buske presented an overview of the district—s special education processes, including how students are identified and how teams use evaluation data to determine eligibility for IEP services. Buske compared the district—s percentage of students with individualized education programs to the state average and to surrounding districts.
Superintendent Powell supplemented the presentation by sharing the district—s current alternative placement counts and last year—s numbers. The presentation was informational; no board action on program changes was taken at this meeting.
