Director‑level staff said the department also launched a quarterly digital recreation brochure called PLAY to centralize program listings and promote events. Staff described improvements to swim center operations — expanded lanes, new programs, scholarships and more than 50,000 patrons at the swim center in the reporting period — and noted expanded youth and senior programming across community centers.
"We currently have 56 active projects, which approximately encompasses about $40,000,000 of projects that are being invested back into the park system," staff said during the presentation. Staff also reviewed operating budget allocations (roughly $12,000,000 excluding capital) and highlighted partnerships with the newly formed Palm Springs Parks Foundation to help secure grant funding and donations.
