The Hillsboro Community Unit School District #3 Board of Education met in a special session Oct. 29, 2024, and voted to enter executive session at 5:03 p.m. "for the purpose of interviewing superintendent candidates and board deliberation," a motion moved by board member Nathan Kirby and seconded by board member John Lentz. The motion was decided by voice vote and recorded in the minutes as "Motion carried." The meeting was called to order by Board President Matt Lentz at 5:00 p.m.; board members listed as present were Matt Lentz, John Lentz, Blake Furness, Kassie Greenwood, Mike Cerutti, Brian Patton and Nathan Kirby.
The board remained in the closed executive session for interviews and deliberations and moved out of executive session at 8:59 p.m. on a motion by Kirby, seconded by John Lentz, again decided by voice vote and recorded as "Motion carried." The special meeting was adjourned at 9:00 p.m. on a motion by Kirby and seconded by John Lentz.
