Trustees ratify $99 chair purchase and approve $200 gift card to contractor

At the Sept. 18 meeting President Giles told trustees he had purchased nine board-room chairs on sale for $99 each and said ‘‘the money was already in budget, so he went ahead and purchased the 9 chairs.’’ Trustee Stingel moved to approve the expenditure and Trustee Agrella seconded; the board voted unanimously to ratify the purchase.
Trustees also approved a $200 gift card for Paramount Excavating in recognition of work on the playground. Trustee Agrella moved and Trustee Brown seconded the motion; the ayes were unanimous. Both items were recorded as formal motions with votes during the meeting.
