The Village of Holiday Hills trustees said construction of the new playground is complete and publicly thanked volunteers, neighbors and businesses that donated time and materials.
President Giles circulated a photo of a proposed 10 ft x 13 ft gazebo with a metal roof and cedar posts and described a projected cost of $1,450 to be paid from existing playground funds. The board agreed verbally to allocate funds from the playground account but did not record a formal vote on the gazebo purchase at the Sept. 18 meeting.
Trustees also recounted extensive volunteer contributions during construction. President Giles thanked the volunteers and said the structure ‘‘is a great addition to the Village’’ and acknowledged donated labor and materials. Community Relations set a soft opening for Sept. 27 and a grand opening/park dedication for May 3, 2025, including food and a cake.
