Julie Oost moved to approve the recommendations, "subject to successful background check and verification of credentials if applicable," and Lisa Zielinski seconded the motion. The board approved the list of substitutes — including Deborah Gibbons, Shirley Czyzewski, Amanda Knittel Herman, Jennifer Koza, Jessica Papadopoulos and Nicholas Czachor — and confirmed compensation noted in the minutes ($130/day for substitute teachers; $110/day for paraprofessionals when applicable; $35/hour for substitute maintenance). The board also approved Brianna Flesher’s change from paraprofessional to long‑term substitute at Mokena Elementary at a rate of $259.96/day from Jan. 5, 2026 through the end of the 2025–26 school year.
