The Horry County Planning Commission approved a land-use request for a roughly 3-acre storage site after the applicant described a phased approach that would start with open grass and later include a fenced delivery-gated storage area.
Applicant Dave Cox provided his name and address for the record and said the first phase would use only part of the 3 acres and that one mobile home on the parcel would be moved to meet setbacks. "It's gonna be 3 acres there, but we're probably not gonna use all the 3," Cox said. Staff recommended approval; a committee member moved to approve and the chair seconded the motion, which carried by voice vote.
The commission's approval was conditional on the standard site and permit review to ensure setbacks and required improvements are met.
