The Hononegah Community High School District 207 board on Sept. 17 approved several HVAC purchases and installation contracts for two major air-handling units. The purchase of a 20-ton condensing unit for MAU-3 from Temperature Systems Inc. for $14,806 and installation by Ceroni Piping Company for $28,980 were approved, as was the purchase of condensing units for AHU-9 through Temperature Systems Inc. not to exceed $22,196 and installation by Ceroni Piping Company for $31,070. Motions carried on unanimous roll calls.
Board materials cite compliance with 105 ILCS 5/10-20.21 and use of the OMNIA Partners Public Sector Purchasing Cooperative where applicable. "Motion by Lewis, seconded by Schoepski, to approve the installation of a 20-ton condensing unit for MAU-3 from Ceroni Piping Company in the amount of $28,980.00 as recommended by the Finance Committee in compliance with 105 ILCS 5/10-20.21 (xi)," the meeting record states. The combined line items recorded in the minutes total approximately $97,052 for purchase and installation across the two units.
District staff presented the purchases as targeted facilities maintenance via cooperative purchasing; the board did not record separate discussion about alternatives, timeline for equipment delivery, or specific funding lines during the open meeting. The Finance Director previously noted overall year-to-date revenues and expenses but did not designate a specific capital account for these purchases in the minutes.
