Board approves three-year E-Learning Plan allowing Chromebook use during closures

The Hononegah CHSD 207 board approved a three-year E-Learning Plan on July 16 that permits students to use district Chromebooks on days they cannot attend school in person, such as weather-related closures. Mr. Dugan told the board the first E-Learning plan was developed during the COVID-19 pandemic and that the district office and union presidents reviewed and revised the plan prior to the hearing.
Following a public hearing with no public comments, the board voted to adopt the plan for the 2025–26 through 2027–28 school years by unanimous roll call. The minutes state the plan is intended to preserve instructional continuity on days students cannot be in the building; the board approved the plan for a three-year period ending with the 2027–28 school year.
