Mayor Frank Finnegan reported that the city "just received communication for a $300,000 sewer grant" and said the council will pursue repaving the Southwest Highway frontage road. He also said Kolmar will be repaved this year from 87th Pl. to Kostner.
Finnegan said Public Works has a small crew and limited equipment and that crews have been repairing water breaks; he urged the council to consider financing options to replace one or two trucks. Alderman Barnhouse agreed that new trucks are needed. The council did not vote at the meeting to authorize borrowing; the mayor asked aldermen to "think about getting a loan to get a new truck or 2" as part of capital planning.
