During the Citizen’s Hearing several residents raised concerns tied to Nicor’s gas-work in neighborhood rights-of-way. Mike Nichols said he had hired an exterminator and asked whether the city would increase rodent-control service when Nicor digs; Mayor Frank Finnegan said the city "will increase the service from semi-monthly to weekly as needed." Mayor Finnegan also said Nicor will repair driveways "when the weather gets nicer."
Thomas Starmach asked whether Nicor is moving meters to the front of houses; the mayor confirmed that Nicor is relocating meters to the front of homes and encouraged residents to voice concerns to city officials. Separately, Andy Solis introduced himself as a prospective business owner and said he would bring business plans to the next meeting.
