Police Chief Louis Dominguez reported to the council that the department is responding to a series of brazen attempts against gaming facilities in Hometown and coordinating with federal partners. "There have been several attempts here in Hometown, the police have thwarted a couple attempts," he said, and added that suspects have used stolen cars and that the department is meeting with the ATF on Thursday to coordinate efforts.
Dominguez also highlighted a narcotics arrest led by Investigator Tado that recovered what he described as "$24,500 worth plus a gun," resulting in felony arrests. The chief said the department is completing training and handling new mandates while pursuing the investigations.
