Council approves LESO contract renewal despite resident questions about value
Summary

The Twisp Town Council approved the LESO contract at its Nov. 12 meeting. Council Member Wyatt Lundquist moved to approve the contract and Council Member Tim Matsui seconded; the motion passed unanimously.
Resident Leone Edson had raised concerns during public comment, saying she did not believe the town needed to renew LESO membership because most available equipment is not suited to Twisp's needs and suggesting the roughly $400 could be spent on wages for an additional police officer. The council did not adopt alternate funding direction at the meeting and approved the LESO contract as presented.
