Trustee Carol Stingel reported on preparations for a new park dedication scheduled for Sunday, May 4. She said the funnel cake truck will attend at no cost, and volunteers (including Bri Young and a friend) will staff the truck for tips. The trustees discussed pricing for hot dogs from Chicago Dogs: $350 for 100 setups or $700 for 200. By voice vote trustees approved purchasing 150 setups at a cost equating to $2.50 per serving. The village will supply soda, ice, water and chips.
Stingel asked for more resident help with her committee, noting trustees will need to step up if volunteers are insufficient. Director Dzialo said the old park plaque needs refinishing and that it will be affixed to Village Hall. Trustee Stingel said plaques will be placed for volunteers who helped with the project.
