At the Feb. 19 meeting, the Village of Holiday Hills unanimously adopted Ordinance 389-25, amending Title 7 of the Village Code to update building-code references to the current state and international code editions.
Dan Streit of HLR explained the rationale for the ordinance and why the village is updating its references to match the edition adopted by the State of Illinois and the International Code Council. Trustees requested two minor wording clarifications (page 5, items J and M) to say "current state edition" and "International Code Council," which the board approved before the vote. Trustee Stingel moved to accept the ordinance with the phrasing changes; Trustee Pawlak seconded. The motion passed unanimously.
The ordinance update was presented as a compliance and standardization measure; no substantive policy change beyond code reference alignment was recorded during the discussion.
