President Jeff Giles told the board that building permits should be routed to the Stormwater authority first. The village will not issue a building permit until Stormwater either issues a permit or provides a letter stating no permit is required. Floodplain permits require Stormwater approval; if a property has a Letter of Map Amendment (LOMA), applicants should provide a copy for village files.
