Hillsboro High to offer new Honors Physical Science course next year

Hillsboro High School will add an Honors Physical Science course after the Board voted 4-0 to approve the proposal on Oct. 8, 2024. HHS Physical Science Teacher Emma Dixon described the course as appropriate for college‑bound students and those preparing for more advanced science classes.
Dixon told the board, "The class will cover basic chemistry, physics, Earth and space concepts and information." The motion to approve the new course was made by Brian Patton, seconded by Mike Cerutti and carried unanimously.
