Holiday Hills sewer work delayed as contractor awaits storm-water permit

President J. Giles said Northern Moraine has sent notices to residents affected by the planned sewer work but “no work has begun,” and the contractor is waiting on a storm-water permit before starting construction. He told the board the work is expected to continue through the winter and will include work on NE Shore Drive, Pine and a small portion of Hyde Park. Trine will handle snow and ice removal on roads that are cut and not yet paved.
During public comment a resident asked about the contract relationship between Villa Vaupell and Holiday Hills. The board responded that Holiday Hills has a separate contract with Northern Moraine and that Villa Vaupell has its own contract; the minutes record that the resident raised a question about how Villa Vaupell was allowed to sign the Holiday Hills contract. Director Dzialo and President Giles said they will investigate a related culvert complaint at Holiday and Spruce and follow up with Kyle at Prairie Path.
