Board member Herb announces resignation, plans move to Tennessee

"For a lot of reasons, my wife and I have decided to get closer to our grandbabies... we're gonna make our permanent residence in the state of Tennessee, in a place called Murfreesboro," Herb said, adding that he had submitted his resignation to the councilwoman and copied the mayor, the chairman and the clerk.
He said the Feb. 6 meeting was his final meeting and expressed appreciation for his time on the board. Several members thanked him for his service and wished him well; the chair acknowledged the contribution and the board recorded the announcement in the meeting minutes.
