The Hinckley-Big Rock CUSD 429 Board of Education on Sept. 17 took a series of formal votes, each passing by a unanimous 6-0 margin among present members.
Actions approved included: the FY25 audit (motion by Darrin Gengler, seconded by Jack Haines); a Resolution for Permanent Fund Transfer from Working Cash to the Capital Projects Fund (motion by Jack Haines, seconded by Tim Badal); waiving the second reading and approving IASB Press Issue 119 updates (motion by Darrin Gengler, seconded by Abigail Barrett); the FY26 Final Budget (motion by Tim Badal, seconded by Jack Haines); and approval of the HBRHS overnight leadership retreat on Nov. 1, 2025 (motion by Abigail Barrett, seconded by Jack Haines).
Recorded roll-call tallies for the votes showed all present trustees voting "Yea." The board later entered executive session to address probable or pending litigation under 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(11) and adjourned after exiting the closed session.
