The Seminole County Board of County Commissioners adopted a proclamation Dec. 10 recognizing United States Air Force Academy cadet Kathy Corraliza as the county'appointed December veteran of the month. Commissioner Lockhart read the proclamation citing Corraliza's service as a theater logistics support contractor in Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar and Afghanistan and her recent work with Disabled American Veterans Seminole Chapter 30.
"I'd just like to take a minute to say thank you and it's a it's a great honor to be able to serve the veterans of Seminole County, and give back to my fellow brothers and sisters," Corraliza said after the proclamation was read. The board voted to adopt the proclamation unanimously and invited Corraliza and commissioners to the floor for photographs. Corraliza was identified in the proclamation as active with the Disabled American Veterans Seminole Chapter 30 and the Air Force Academy, and the proclamation noted the county's approximately 30,000 living veterans.
