Finance reports healthy fund balances; Legends Drive engineering costs remain within ordinance limit

Finance staff reported month‑end October totals and trends and provided a brief update on the Legends Drive loan. "Miss Todd" told the committee that engineering cost estimates for Legends Drive did not exceed the $25,000,000 cap in the original ordinance, so no ordinance amendment will be required for second reading.

On the broader budget, staff reported all funds totaled approximately $79,200,000 as of Oct. 31, with roughly 70% in the general fund; general fund revenues year‑to‑date were reported near $55,200,000 and expenditures near $77,000,000. Staff noted that most remaining revenues arrive in December–January and that special revenue funds (fire, road maintenance, stormwater, recreation) are performing near expectations.
