The Fulton County Board of Commissioners on July 2 certified a request from the Fulton County Rural Zoning Commission to amend the rural zoning map for parcel 10-019908-01.000 from M1 to AG/RE to permit a single-family dwelling and authorized the matter to proceed to a public hearing under Ohio Revised Code procedures.
Andrea Gerken explained that an amendment had been filed: "we had an amendment come in for the zoning map. The property used to be a chicken farm and the person who purchased the property would like to put a house on it. Under the current zoning for that property, he is not able to put a house on it." The board recorded the motion to certify the request and voted 3-0 to authorize the public hearing process in accordance with Ohio law (citing ORC Section 303.12).
