Abingdon-Avon FFA students win state PCM, demonstrate skills for board and approve Veterans Day flowers

Debate among the students covered tradition, cost and longevity of tributes. One student argued wreaths last longer; others said wreaths are hard to find locally and suggested using local florists. The adviser moved to amend the motion "by striking out wreaths and inserting flowers," and the amendment passed by voice vote. The main motion, updated to call for delivering flowers, then passed.
The presentation included student officer introductions and an on-record demonstration of officer duties; board members and administrators praised the students' performance. "Excellent job," an administrator said after the demonstration.
