Commissioners approved seven personnel actions from the sheriff's office including step raises and classification changes for several corrections and deputy positions. The personnel report listed names, new classifications, grades and base pay rates for each position.
Staff also requested a motion to continue employment of Barb Baker as a reasonable accommodation after she exhausted Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) protections. The board approved that accommodation; as recorded in the meeting transcript, staff said, "Paul is requesting to continue the employment of Barb Baker as a reasonable accommodation until 08/14/2026." The motions were made and passed by voice vote.
The personnel approvals and accommodation were recorded for the personnel file; the board directed staff to follow standard HR procedures if further documentation is needed.
