Commission approves post-election audit canvass showing tabulator results matched recount

Auditor Brenda McGruder read the audit findings and told commissioners that "the results of the post election audit were 100% as to what was counted on the tabulator." She gave precinct-by-precinct totals for the statewide U.S. House race and precinct committee contests and submitted the audit letter to the board.
Chair moved and commissioners seconded approval of the canvass and authorized the chairman to sign the order declaring the canvass complete. The board recorded the procedural voice vote with no opposition. The auditor said two precincts were audited because the county needed to review at least 100 votes.
The action will be recorded in the official election file and the chairman was authorized to sign the canvass order at the board's direction.
