"We finished the track, finished the football field. They look beautiful. It added to our aesthetic value," the superintendent said (speaker S2), summarizing completed projects and funding sources. He also discussed curriculum gaps at the secondary level that drove recent purchases, emphasized continuing partnerships with the Urban Learning and Leadership Center (ULLC) for teacher development and highlighted recruitment and settlement decisions intended to retain teachers.
Bill told the board that some external coaching relationships will be reduced next year as building staff assume more responsibility and noted that the district will continue to invest in professional development and targeted interventions for students with reading and behavioral needs. He framed these measures as necessary to "move the needle" on student learning and to address needs identified during the last several years.
