County signs consultant agreement for Penn Yan airport runway REILs replacement, mostly grant-funded

The Yates County Legislature approved a Cost Plus Fixed Fee Consultant Agreement with C&S Companies for construction observation and administration of the Replace Runway 1-19 REILs Project at the Penn Yan–Yates County Airport in an amount not to exceed $64,000 (including a fixed fee of $7,654.80).
County materials presented at the meeting state the project received grant funding from the Federal Aviation Administration ($171,237 = 95% of allowable costs) and the New York State Department of Transportation ($4,507 = 2.5%), leaving a combined 97.5% grant contribution and a county share of $4,506 (2.5%) for allowable costs. The resolution authorizes the Chair to sign the consultant agreement after County Attorney review and directs copies of the agreement to the Director of Finance, Airport Council and C&S Companies.
The motion passed unanimously.
