Council asks ex officio applicants to commit to regular briefings; both agree

Council member (speaker 2) said the council has not received steady information from past ex officio representatives and asked whether both applicants would commit to attending meetings and to keeping the council briefed.
Both applicants committed to participation and regular updates. Evan suggested designating one council member as a point of contact for routine updates while reserving full council presentations for matters that warrant the entire body's attention. "It would be helpful, and I think administratively desirable, that among the 5 council members, you would designate 1 person who would be our point of contact," Evan said.
