The Health & Human Services Committee approved several Human Services measures on March 11, 2026. Resolution 3-26-HH-4 authorizes renewal of lease agreements with Pitney Bowes Inc. for mail equipment at the Department of Social Services. Resolution 3-26-HH-5 authorizes acceptance of Heating, Emergency Assistance Program (HEAP) allocations.
The committee also approved bundled staffing measures: HH-6 authorized creation and filling of two Caseworker (HELP Program) positions; HH-7 and HH-8 authorized Human Services Examiner positions (one due to vacancy); HH-9 authorized filling a Senior Clerk position due to retirement; HH-10 authorized filling a full-time Medicaid Unit clerk vacancy; and HH-11 authorized creating and filling a Paralegal Specialist (HELP Program) position. Motions to bundle and approve staffing items were recorded and carried unanimously.
