The Cayuga County Civil Service Commission on March 10 adopted an updated set of county Civil Service Rules and Appendices that New York State Civil Service approved on Feb. 11, 2026. The measure was presented by Human Resources staff and approved by unanimous voice vote.
Chairman Bruce D. Sherman opened the meeting at 3:32 p.m. and the commission proceeded to adopt the rules in their entirety. The commission directed staff to notify the appropriate appointing authorities of the change. The minutes record the action as "approved by New York State Civil Service on 2/11/26."
