Holiday Hills board hears sewer update; full-village paving estimated at about $400,000

President Giles, President of the Village of Holiday Hills, told the board that the sewer project is continuing but that Phase 2 extension paperwork and the associated funds have not been released, delaying connections for some properties. He said restoration work is ongoing but that rain has slowed progress, and that Northern Moraine has proposed options for temporary and longer-lasting paving treatments.
"At this point in time, estimate to pave entire village would be around $400,000.00," President Giles said when describing the tradeoffs between a quick top coat and a more durable 2-inch grind plus 2-inch binder that could last up to five years. He said Phase 2 extension/continuation would make properties east of NE Shore Drive to River Road eligible for sewer connection once funds are released. The board did not take a formal vote on construction funding or a final paving plan at the meeting.
