The City of Green Lake/Town of Brooklyn Fire Commission on Sept. 24 approved its 2026 budget request of $137,304 following a motion by Vice-Chair James Hebbe and second by Christopher Foos. The motion carried. The commission also approved the August meeting minutes earlier in the session.
Commissioners approved a set of staff and program items by voice vote. Motions recorded as carried include: approval of the First Responders' August report and their proposed 2026 budget of $27,850; acceptance of the Fire Chief's August report with expenses of $15,525.40; authorization to purchase a replacement twin-impeller pump for the Kubota through the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources for under $1,000; and adjournment. The next regular meeting was set for Oct. 29 at 6:00 p.m.
