The Abingdon-Avon CUSD 276 Board of Education voted to approve the district’s FY25 amended budget after a staff presentation explaining adjustments to expenditures and revenues. A presenter told the board the changes reflected real invoices that shifted into FY25 and said the district was “looking at a change overall…approximately $4,000,000” in expenditures.
Board members heard that the main expenditure changes reduced allocations in educational operations, debt service and transportation while increasing capital projects and transfers for tort and fire-prevention safety. A board member summarized the approval as an administrative step “moving the funds back to appropriate lots” so the district’s accounting aligns with actual spending. The motion to approve the amended budget carried on a roll-call vote (motion recorded on the meeting record).
