Treasurer Garber reported that cash balances as of Aug. 31, 2025, increased by $80,934, a 1.00% increase from July 31, 2025. Major receipts noted in the minutes included Illinois taxes of $117,059, motor fuel taxes of $14,976, and Rural Fire receipts of $175,218. Major disbursements listed included Ameren $30,487, BlueCross/BlueShield $18,019, and JIMAX Corporation $138,155.
Garber also recorded that funds were invested during August 2025 in the money market at Commerce Bank earning 0.5%, a Goodfield Bank money market at 0.15%, an Insured Cash Sweep Account at Goodfield Bank earning 1.65%, two 12-month CDs at Goodfield Bank at 4% and U.S. Treasury bills for six months at 4%.
