Planning board proposes late‑2026 date changes and to finalize 2027 schedule

The Asbury Park Planning Board discussed moving its remaining 2026 meeting dates and resolving the 2027 schedule on Aug. 3, 2026. Staff proposed shifting the Nov. 23 meeting to Nov. 30, moving the Dec. 7 meeting to Dec. 14 and canceling Dec. 21. Board members discussed timing around the council reorganization and the Jan. 18 Martin Luther King Jr. holiday for 2027.
"We're, we're looking to move the November 23 meeting to the 30th, and the December 7 meeting to the 14th, and to cancel the 21st," said the staff member. Members agreed staff would finalize and formally adopt the schedule later; one member noted the 2027 reorganizational timing would affect early‑January scheduling and staff will rework dates and notice accordingly.
