Board reappoints members, designates acting assessor and approves multiple positions
Summary

The Board confirmed multiple appointments and personnel actions during the May 12 session.
Planning Chair Leuer reappointed Daniel Leuer to the Wyoming County Business Center board (Res. 26-268) and Ms. Roberts presented appointments to the Office for the Aging Advisory Council (Judy White and Virginia Fugle, Res. 26-262). The board designated County Administrator Scott Schrader as Acting Assessor for Wethersfield, Warsaw, Pike, Covington and Attica effective May 11, 2026 through Nov. 11, 2026 or until a full-time assessor is appointed (Res. 26-289). Supervisor Berwanger noted he was voting in favor "but under protest" referencing state policy on assessor training.
In personnel moves (Res. 26-296 and 26-297), the board created a Human Resource Assistant I (1.0 FTE), a per-diem Health Insurance Coordinator in the Office for the Aging, a full-time Public Defender legal intern, and extended vacancy permissions and salary corrections for a Public Health Program Specialist Trainee. The positions approvals include grade and salary ranges and are effective on stated dates in the resolutions.
