Wyoming County allocates opioid-settlement funds for expanded mental-health services

The Wyoming County Board approved a set of mental-health and substance-use disorder interventions funded in part through Regional Opioid Settlement monies.
Public Health Committee Chair Mr. Rudgers presented Res. 26-265, authorizing a contract with Insightful Strides, Inc. for expanded access to mental-health services for those impacted by substance-use disorder/Opioid Use Disorder in an amount not to exceed $31,000 (effective May 1, 2026–June 30, 2027). He also presented Res. 26-266, authorizing a contract with Allegany Rehabilitation Associates (DBA Clarity Wellness Community) for trauma-focused treatment training and clinical supervision in an amount not to exceed $65,000 for the same grant period. Separately, Res. 26-267 authorized acceptance of a BOLD: NYS Coalition grant through Health Research, Inc. for $1,610 to support early detection and diagnosis work in public health.
The resolutions were carried unanimously as consent items. The board recorded the awards and directed the County Attorney and chair to finalize contract signatures consistent with county procurement rules and contingent on fund availability.
